Understanding the Screening Process

All clients admitted to Recovery Place must undergo a  routine screening/assessment process designed to begin the individualized treatment planning process.  The counselor will discuss the problems you're having at this time and ask you questions related to the nature of your problems.  The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate your physical, psychological and emotional health, and provide you with options.

Information discussed includes:  Substance use history,Co-occurring disorders, recent hospitalizations, pre-existing medical conditions, family history and suicide attempts.

We understand our role as stewards in the care of you or your loved one and we take every precaution to ensure this individual receives the level of care needed to either continue or begin the road to healing.

Recovery Place provides assessment and referral services 12 hours a day, five days a week.  You may schedule an appointment for an assessment or we can see you on an emergency walk-in basis.  After hours admissions are available.

Your assessment takes approximately 60-90 minutes.  Although we make every attempt to honor appointment times, there are occasions when we must prioritize emergencies.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.
